My Yo-Yo makes a noise while sleeping and it doesn't sleep for long. It used to be brilliant but since I changed the spring it
feels funny. I keep taking it apart and putting it back together. But it doesn't help. What's gone wrong?

Yo-Yo Doctor:  Well the good news is it probably is not broken. It could be any number of things.

The string may be caught as you re-assembled the yo-yo
You may have not replaced the string correctly
If it is not either of these things it sounds like some dirt has got into the axle and you probably need to put some lube on it.

If you are under 10 you may want to ask an adult for help but read on.

If it unscrews then unscrew it and remove the bearing or the sleeve from the metal axle. Clean it with a good quality cleaning cloth
(cheap ones leave fluff which is no good at all) and apply some yo-yo lube. A nice clean lubricant such as Teflon oil or 3 in 1 will do
the trick but apply very sparingly.

Be sure to put all the pieces into a dish as you go so you don't lose them. Clean all of the bits and then put them back together.
